On May
21-22 of this year, the Rául Yzaguirre Policy Institute, in
conjunction with the Office of Congressman Rubén Hinojosa,
and with support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation,
held its inaugural event – the 2006 National Uninsured
Latinos Conference.
Convened
to address the critical challenge of insuring America’s
Latino community, the Conference was instrumental in
bringing legislative leaders, health policy researchers,
foundations, and corporate executives to the same table for
the sole purpose of providing solutions and national
exposure to this very critical challenge.
Currently the Raúl Yzaguirre Policy Institute is preparing a
publication product of conference proceedings.
